Houston Rockets member Alperen Sengun might miss a few games due to an injury, confirmed coach Ime Udoka.
Turkish national team player starred against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night (October 27), recording 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. Alperen led his team to victory despite apparently playing through pain.
The Houston Rockets announced that Sengun is going to miss Thursday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks (October 29) because of back pain.
Houston coach Ime Udoka spoke to the radio station SportsTalk 790 about Alperen’s latest condition. Coach Udoka said that Alperen could miss “a few games”:
“He felt some pain at the beginning of the Atlanta game, but he continued playing thanks to the adrenaline. He started feeling more pain afterward. The examinations revealed a mild strain in his back, so we’ll be cautious. At most, he’ll miss a few games.”
Alperen Şengün has appeared in four games so far this NBA season, averaging 24.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
