A man arrested at LeBron James’ home in Brentwood told officers he believed he was James’ son, according to TMZ, which first reported the incident.
James was in Cleveland playing for the Philadelphia 76ers against his former team at the time.
Security staff spotted the man on surveillance cameras and called police, TMZ reported. The outlet said he did not enter the house.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told ESPN that officers responded at 9:39 p.m. to investigate a possible burglary and booked the man on suspicion of stalking.
Authorities did not publicly identify the man. A representative for James declined to comment to ESPN.
