Free-agent forward Vince Carter, an eight-time All-Star and the oldest player in the NBA at 40, has agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal with the Sacramento Kings.

According to ESPN, Carter joins a Sacramento free agency class that includes his ex-Memphis Grizzlies teammate Zach Randolph and guard George Hill.

This will be Carter’s 20th season in the NBA.

As the Kings reshape the roster in the post-DeMarcus Cousins era, they’ve place a premium on surrounding a young core with playoff-experienced veterans on short deals.
