In an interview given to NBA.com Porzingis admitted that things were not easy for him in his team, but now things have changed.

Without directly reffering to Phil Jackson who was fired, Porzingis said: ““So far it’s been tough in New York, but my journey is only beginning and I hope to stay there my whole career, so as a city we can have some fun and win some games and do something big. For me, it’s now home.”

While there are still rumors about Carmelo Anthony leaving the team for Houston, the Latvian big man has other things in minde. “For everybody, a lot of things were surprising and a lot of things were unexpected,” he said. “We’ll see when I get there and start working out with the guys. We’ll see what has changed. It’s hard to say with everything going on in New York but once I get there I’ll see things more clearer. We’re going to have a lot of new guys. Every year is almost like a new year. There will be a lot of changes. I’m going into the season hoping we have a group of guys who want to work hard and win. That’s what’s important.”
