Paul Pierce, who brought home Boston’s 17th championship in 2008 was drafted by Boston in 1998 and played there for 15 straight seasons, second to only John Havlicek in that category.

He is the franchise leader in points, free-throws, steals, three-point field goals and is Boston’s No 2 career scorer with 24,021 points.

The future hall of Famer will be the 22nd player in franchise history to see his jersey retired.
