The Philadelphia 76ers and Joel Embiid have agreed to an extension that is worth $148 million dollars, per Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 23-year old center has quickly emerged into one of the leagues top centers and this contract clearly designates him as Philadelphia’s franchise player.
Despite only playing 31 games last year, Embiid managed to average 20.3 points and 7.8 rebounds while only playing 24 minutes a game.
While there is no doubt regarding his talent, Embiid has had a hard time staying healthy. If he manages to stay injury-free, he will most likely be an all-star in the Eastern Conference.
