Spurs and Aldridge agreed to 3-year contact extension

The San Antonio Spurs announced they’ve agreed to a contract extension with LaMarcus Aldridge.

The 2017-18 season will mark Aldridge’s third year with the Spurs, after originally signing with the team on July 9, 2015.

According to reports, the deal is worth 72.3 million dollars over three years. Under the terms of his previous contract, Aldridge had a 22.3 million dollars player option for the 2018-19 season. Aldridge is set to make 21.4 million dollars in the 2017-18 season.

In 794 regular season NBA games, 32 years old has averaged 19.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.04 blocks in 34.5 minutes. The 32-year-old has appeared in 60 playoff games, averaging 20.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.52 blocks and 1.5 assists in 37.5 minutes.

The 2017-18 season will mark Aldridge’s third year with the Silver and Black after originally signing with the team on July 9, 2015.
