One day after being named Eastern Conference Player Of The Week, Kristaps Porzingis posted 28 points, five rebounds and three blocks (in one sequence) leading the New York Knicks to a 118 – 113 victory of the Charlotte Hornets in the Garden.

While his team grabbed its sixth win in the last seven matches and the Latvian big guy himself set a new franchise record by becoming the first Knick to score 300 points in the first ten games of a season, he says that the “sweetest” thing will be propelling the Knicks to postseason for the first time since 2013.

Per ESPN’s Ian Begley:

“Kristaps Porzingis on setting the Knicks‘ franchise scoring mark through 10 games (300 points): “That’s an honor that I’m able to do this in the first 10 games of the season…. The sweetest thing for us, the best thing for us will be to make the playoffs. This means nothing. If we can keep winning and I’ll keep doing what I have to do then the real reward will come.’ Porzingis’ 300 points are more than Bernard King’s 298 and Patrick Ewing’s 285 through the first 10 games of a season.”
