The New York Knicks have been struggling recently and Kristaps Porzingis thinks that it’s up to him bring some juice back in the team’s tanks.

Following the New York Knicks blowout defeat to the Washington Wizards, the team’s sixth in the last seven games, Kristaps Porzingis said he feels “so tired” after not only on a physical but also a mental sense.

The “Unicorn”, who finished the game with 16 points on 5/13 shooting plus 6 rebounds, felt that he and his teammates lacked energy in the second of two back-to-back games. Obviously recovering from a leg injury doesn’t help him much either.

Per ESPN’s Ian Begley:

“Kristaps Porzingis after going 5-for-13 in the Knicks‘ ugly loss to Washington: “I’m tired. I’m tired. I’m so tired right now. I have one day now to rest my legs and then get back and play better and have more energy and also try and bring the team’s energy up. Also, we’re in a tough stretch. The mental part doesn’t help at all. When it’s mentally tough you just don’t have it in you. It’s normal. It’s normal. It’s up and down. Get some rest, enjoy nice Miami weather and go try and win the Miami game (on Friday).” Porzingis thought that the Knicks generally didn’t look fresh on the second night of a back-to-back.”
