The injury of Kawhi Leonard and the fact that he has not yet returned to action is an issue inside the locker rooms of the San Antonio Spurs.

While speaking to the local press, French star Tony Parker implied that something is wrong with Leonard and his approach to the rehabilitation.

“I’ve been through it,” Parker said after shootaround Friday. “It was a rehab for me for eight months. Same kind of injury, but mine was a hundred times worse, but the same kind of injury. You just stay positive.”

Contrary to Parker, Leonard has sought and received a second opinion on his injury and he is waiting for his own medical staff to give him the green light to return.

It was reported that the veterans of San Antonio held a players’ meeting and asked from Leonard an answer about when he will return without getting an answer.  Parker didn’t deny the fact, but didn’t confirm anything: “You should know better. You should know better that I can’t talk about that. That’s private stuff, locker room stuff. We always talk as a team, but you know we can’t talk about that.”

Manu Ginobili stated that the Spurs must go about their business as if Leonard won’t return this season.

“Yeah, I kind of agree with Manu. But at the same time, I’m a big believer, so I still want to believe (Leonard will return this season),” Parker said. “But I agree with Manu, we have to have that approach.”
