After serving as the San Antonio Spurs head coach in Games 3 and 4 of the series vs. the Golden State Warriors, Ettore Messina will also have this role in Game 5, Tuesday (24/3).
Messina assumed head coaching duties following the passing of Gregg Popovich’s wife Erin.
With the Italian four-time EuroLeague champion at the helm, the Spurs lost in Game 3 but bounced back in the next match with a 103 – 90 win in San Antonio, Sunday (22/4) behind LaMarcus Aldridge’s 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Messina has been an assistant in the Spurs since 2014.
Spurs say Ettore Messina will serve as head coach for tomorrow’s Spurs-Warriors Game 5.
