Even if Panathinaikos missed the EuroLeague Final Four, Nick Calathes had a stellar season and wants to compete it with an NBA return.

According to an ESPN report by Adrian Wojnarowski, Calathes is planning his NBA return. His contract ends with Panathinaikos this summer and after averaging 18.5 points and 8 assists he seems ready for his comeback.

The key point of the report is that Calathes hired James Dunleavy as his US agent and this is a clear indication of his plans.

Calathes was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 45th overall pick out of Florida in 2009, and his rights were traded to the Dallas Mavericks. He spent his first four seasons in Europe with Panathinaikos and Lokomotiv Kuban before joining the Grizzlies in 2013 following a trade by the Mavs. He left the NBA in the summer of 2015 and signed a lucrative three-year contract with Panathinaikos.
