As reported by ESPN, David Fizdale met with Knicks owner James Dolan, who then gave his approval to president Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry to enter into contract negotiations with the coach.
The two sides have agreed on a four-year deal and Fizdale is expected to also travel to Latvia soon, to meet with Kristaps Porzingis.
The Knicks, that have allegedly shown interest for David Blatt, seem to have found their perfect fit for the head coach position.
