With all odds stacked up against him and his team, LeBron James rose to the occasion and scored 51 points in game one of his eighth straight NBA finals appearance.

“The King” hit 10-of-11 free throws and 19-0f-32 shots, adding 8 boards and 8 assists in 48 minutes despite his team’s OT 124-114 loss.

James notched his eighth 40-point game during this playoff run to tie Hall of Famer Jerry West’s feat in 1965 for most in a single postseason.
