As Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported, the Toronto Raptors will hire assistant coach Nick Nurse as the franchise’s head coach.
The Canadian team had narrowed the coaching search to two options and one of them was Ettore Messina. The other one was Nick Nurse. The two candidates had been assistant coaches in the NBA, and as of Tuesday, Nurse will become Toronto’s head coach.
Sarunas Jasikevicius was also interviewed by the Toronto Raptors but as of now, he will not travel to the United States for a head coaching job.
The Toronto Raptors are hiring assistant Nick Nurse as the franchise’s new head coach, league sources tell ESPN. Sides are working through details of contract now.
