All-EuroCup wing Ryan Broekhoff is signing with the Dallas Mavericks, his agency Priority Sports announced on Twitter. Per Shams Charania of Yahoo, the deal is for two seasons with the first year in the player’s contract being fully guaranteed.

Broekhoff, 27, had spent the entirety of his career thus far in Europe, playing with Besiktas in Turkey and Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia. In 2016, the Australian swingman helped the latter reach the EuroLeague Final Four for the first time in the history of the club by averaging 8.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1 steal in 25:18 minutes per game.

In 2017-2018, Broekhoff posted 12.3 points (shooting with a phenomenal 50.5% from the 3-point line on more than five attempts per game) 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists averaging 26:36 minutes per game. Even though he missed most of the second part of the season due to a thumb injury, he was named in the All-EuroCup First Team.

In Dallas, Broekhoff will join former EuroLeague superstar, season MVP, Final Four MVP and First-Team selection Luka Doncic.
