The Gasol brothers met in Girona to play a friendly game for a good cause and relived the famous moment of the 2015 NBA All-Star game in New York when the two brothers met at the jump ball.
Marc Gasol and friends prevailed over Pau’s team with 95-91, with great performances by Dillon Brooks and Ricky Rubio.
Basketball fans packed the Fontajau Pavilion for a good cause since the Gasol Foundation will allocate the profits of the event to lower-level teams with limited resources.
Pau’s team, coached by Joan Montes, included Ricky Rubio, Felipe Reyes, Pierre Oriola, Alex Mumbrú, Juancho Hernangómez, David Lee and Jimmy Butler.
As for Marc’s team, it was consisted of coach Pedro Martinez, Juan Carlos Navarro, who played a part with each team, Víctor Claver, Jordi Trías, Víctor Sada, Fernando San Emeterio, Javi Beirán, Sebas Sáiz, Pablo Aguilar, Dillon Brooks and Sergio Llull who, as a precaution, supported from the rest from the bench.
