In a recent interview with ‘Izvestia‘ Alexey Shved’s agent, revealed that the 29-year old charismatic scorer had four different NBA offers on the table, but decided to stay in Moscow to play for Khimki.

“Every year, NBA teams show interest in Alexey Shved. This off-season, the New Orleans Pelicans, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Phoenix Suns approached him and offered him a deal. The best deal was at $4M but it did not cover our needs. Also, we were offered two minimum contracts,” Shved’s agent stated.

Besides, Shved’s agent also discussed what the General Managers of the NBA should think about the 29-year old guard: “The GM’s of the NBA teams should understand that Alexey should not prove anything to anyone. He has already shown all of his skills, having played three years in the league and has also received an invitation to play at the All-Star weekend in the Rising Stars game. In the 2014-2015 NBA season, he averaged 15.0 points per game in New York which also proves his willingness to perform excellently overseas. Therefore, the price of Shved’s contract should be twice as high as it is offered. But, the NBA is the best league in the world, and when you move to Europe, then you will be coming back to the league on the clubs’ terms.”
