Olympiacos forward Janis Timma revealed that he had an offer to sign with the Orlando Magic this summer but he chose to turn it down because the terms and conditions were not to his liking.

“I wasn’t quite satisfied with the offer I received this summer,” Timma said in an interview on Latvian 360 TV channel, per Delfi. “If I go there, I want to play. You are the 12th, 13th player and then you have to fight for the rest of the spots. After that, I signed with Olympiacos.”

Timma was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 60th overall pick in 2013. The Magic acquired his rights via trade in 2015.

With Olympiacos, Timma will embark on his second season in EuroLeague following his debut campaign with Baskonia. The 26-year-old player averaged 7.6, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 22:45 minutes per game in the 2017-2018 EuroLeague.
