The Spurs cut Okaro White, Sacramento released Kalin Lucas

Two players with European experience were waived by their respective NBA clubs.

NBA teams have been making final cuts and additions in their rosters as the upcoming season is getting closer. The San Antonio Spurs and the Sacramento Kings are no exception.

The Spurs waived former Virtus Bologna and Aris player Okaro White along with Nick Johnson. Here is the club’s announcement:

“The San Antonio Spurs today announced that the team has waived Nick Johnson and Okaro White. Johnson was signed on Sept. 24 and averaged 1.5 points and 1.0 assists in 7.4 minutes over four games with the Spurs this preseason. White signed on Sept. 24, averaging 3.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 6.0 minutes in three preseason games with the Silver and Black.”

Before joining San Antonio, White was had been in the negotiations with Maccabi Tel Aviv but they couldn’t find an agreement.

As far as the Kings go, they parted ways with former Olympiacos and Banvit player Kalin Lucas as well as Cameron Reynolds. Here is the announcement:

“The Sacramento Kings announced today that the team has waived guards Cameron Reynolds and Kalin Lucas. Reynolds appeared in four preseason contests for Sacramento, totaling 11 points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal in 36 minutes. The Tulane product also spent the 2018 California Classic and Las Vegas Summer Leagues as a member of the Kings roster. Lucas posted 3.0 points and 2.5 assists in 9.0 minutes per contest in four exhibition games with the Kings. The Kings roster now stands at 16, including one two-way player.”
