After Bucks‘ win in Denver, Giannis Antetokounmpo spoke to the press, praising the work of non-US players in the NBA, including Sunday opponent Nikola Jokic and more.
“Players outside the US are getting better every year. You can see Doncic playing great, Jokic playing great too, me, it’s fun”, Antetokounmpo commented.
The Greek Freak hopes to inspire international players in the years to follow: “It is important that we open a path for them and we hope that kids from overseas can follow our path, the way we followed the paths of Manu Ginobili, Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Arvydas Sabonis. So hopefully the younger generations can follow my path, Jokic’s, Doncic’s, Embiid’s”.
