Marc Gasol spoke to Eurohoops TV about how Memphis manages to have a good start to the season and notes the importance of keeping focused:
“You get caught up on predictions and what other people think, you should get caught up on your work, that’s the only way things will get the way you want”
Gasol also commented on Doc Rivers’ praise in regards to him and the team. The Spanish big man stayed humble, even if the affirmative comments came from the head coach an opposing team:
“You keep playing basketball, the way you were taught. Of course, you appreciate it when people talk good about you, but when they don’t, you continue doing what you’re supposed to.”
