Al Horford missed the Boston Celtics’ away game with the Chicago Bulls due to a sore left knee. Aron Baynes was also out with a sprained left ankle. However, Daniel Theis did play on Saturday, was in the starting five and remained on the court for 32 minutes. The 26-year-old German forward/center took advantage of his teammates’ injuries posting a career-high 22 points.
The 56-point margin of the victory was the largest in Celtics’ history and also was the biggest defeat for the Bulls! It also tied the biggest win by a road team, which was set on December 6th 1986 by the Seattle Supersonics against the Houston Rockets. Theis certainly put a hand in for this record-night.
