Enes Kanter informed the New York Knicks of his decision not to travel with the squad to London due to fearing for his life because of his ongoing criticism towards Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The above-mentioned comments reached the Turkish Basketball Federation president Hedo Turkoglu who responded with an official statement.
Turkoglu claims that Kanter can’t travel to various countries due to passport and visa issues, and accused him of trying to hurt the Turkish-British relations with his irrational remarks as he pledged loyalty to the ringleader of Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO).
