Per The Wall Street Journal, Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. will pay the NBA and the NBPA up to 1.1 billion dollars over the next seven years. The agreement allows Take-Two’s 2K to continue producing its NBA 2K video game and other NBA-branded games, including smartphone apps.

The terms of the deal aren’t expected to be disclosed upon the official announcement. However, the company and the league will reportedly make the extension of their partnership official shortly.

The 1.1 billion dollars deal is more than double the organizations’ prior licensing tie-up in 2011. It’s based on a percentage of sales of Take-Two’s NBA games.
