It was a night to remember for James Harden at least until his next NBA personal-best.

James Harden capped his historic scoring run pouring 61 points on Wednesday. The 29-year-old American set a new career-high and led the Houston Rockets to their away win over the New York Knicks, their ninth straight in the Madison Square Garden.

The 2018 NBA MVP is on a race of his own towards this season’s Top Scorer title. He added to his out-of-this-world averages with 17/38 from the field last night. He also notched 15 rebounds, five steals and four assists.

He made a clutch bucket with 3.8 seconds to go but that wasn’t it. The lay-up allowed Harden to tie Kobe Bryant’s 61-point record for a visiting player at the current Madison Square Garden.

He’s now the Rocket with the most points in a game. The productive scorer also raised his 30-point streak to 21. All in a day’s work.
