Marc Gasol’s name has been involved in several trade rumors these last days. According to the latest scenario, the Spanish center could join national team teammate Willy Hernangomez on the Charlotte Hornets since the later are reported to be in “strong talks” with the Memphis Grizzlies for the 34-year-old big guy.
For now, Hernangomez himself prefers to keep his attention to what is going on between the lines of the court.
“It’s been a basketball week. Many rumors. Me as a player I try to focus on the game and the things I can control,” Hernangomez told Eurohoops. “Everything outside of basketball is not my business.”
“As far as Marc goes… he’s is a great player. One of the best centers in the league,” Hernangomez said to Eurohoops. “He can help any team he goes to. Especially young guys can learn a lot from him.”
Hernangomez also talked how proud he is of his former Real Madrid teammate and “brother” Luka Doncic and why he’s not surprised at all with the Slovenian rookie’s feats.
