Besides increasing his record triple-double streak to 11 NBA 2018-19 Regular Season matches, Russell Westbrook notched a season-high 44 points. However, the 30-year-old American point guard missed a crucial three-point shot inside the final minute of the game and the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the New Orleans Pelicans.

“They played good, man. Honestly, the stuff that’s going on around here, I don’t really know much about, but they won tonight and that’s all the matters” he mentioned on the Pelicans who snapped their four-game losing streaking despite Anthony Davis leaving the contest due to his left shoulder injury.

Westbrook finished up with 44 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists for his 12th 40-point triple-double. “I know how good I can be and how much I can bring to the game to help this team be successful. I pride myself being a better rebounder, a better defender, more efficient, better passer, better leader” he said after the match,
