Coming off his 18 points on Friday, Lauri Markkanen scored 17 on Sunday, but the Detroit Pistons coupled their wins against the Chicago Bulls in back-to-back NBA 2018-19 Regular Season matches between the two Central Division teams. The 21-year-old Finn forward was 6/13 from the field in the second game, 13/29 totally in both. His team didn’t grab any “W”, but Markkanen offered his share of highlight plays.
The Bulls are all but eliminated from the playoffs being 13 wins behind the Eastern Conference’s eighth spot with 14 games to go. Markkanen missed a large chunk of the Regular Season due to injury, but recovered smoothly en route for his 19.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest.
