With only 3.1 seconds left, the Charlotte Hornets inbounded the ball and Jeremy Lamb made an unbelievable shot behind the half-court line. The preposterous game-winning buzzer-beater secured the 115-114 road victory against the Toronto Raptors and got the Hornets within a couple of wins from the playoffs zone.

The 26-year-old American guard finished with 13 points on Sunday. “It feels great,” he said and added: “We fought so hard the whole game. Everybody who came in contributed and played well. They made a big run late. It just feels good to get that win and cap it off like that.”

Asked how he banked the game-winner: “I have no idea, man. I want to thank Jesus Christ, because that’s the only way that shot went in. When I first shot it, it felt good, but in my head I was thinking, ‘It’s too good to be true if it does go in.’ I never in a million years thought it would go in. I thought it’d get close, but to see it go in, it was unreal.”
