Despite facing abdominal soreness, Jonas Valanciunas posted a career-high 34 points on Saturday leading the Memphis Grizzlies to their away victory against the Phoenix Suns. “We fought till the end. We were doing everything to win the game” he mentioned to FOX Sports Southeast following the NBA 2018-19 Regular Season contest.

The 26-year-old Lithuanian center also grabbed twenty rebounds helping his team dig its way out of an 18-point hole. “Crashing the boards, energy, being active down low, finding the pockets that helps” he said when asked about his domination in the paint.

In 34 minutes, he also tallied five assists, two steals and two blocks, but really picked up after Deandre Ayton left with a sprained left ankle. The hosts had no answer for Valanciunas that scored ten points in the game-ending 16-9 run.
