Nikola Jokic scored the first ten points of the game between the Denver Nuggets and the Washington Wizards, but the rest of the NBA 2018-19 Regular Season contest didn’t go his way. He ended up with 23 points with 11/15 from the field, 14 rebounds, four dimes, two steals and one rejection, but his team lost for the third time in five matches.
Following his hot start, the 24-year-old Serb was struck by Bobby Portis in his nose. His layup attempt resulted to a bloody nose. He left the game for several minutes and returned midway through the second period.
His troubles continued when he picked up his second technical foul and got ejected down the stretch. Jokic was furious with a no-call and explained after the match: “I was fouled. They’re going to see it, they’re going to see that it was a foul.”
