It was an eventful night for both Nikola Jokic and Gregg Popovich.

The Denver Nuggets defeated the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Nikola Jokic was one assist short from a triple-double, but the 2018-19 Regular Season contest started with the fastest ejection in NBA history. Gregg Popovich argued with officials after a no-call and was sent to the locker room charged with a couple of technicals only 63 seconds in.

The Joker led his team to the crucial win with 20 points sinking all of his nine two-pointers, 11 boards and nine helpers. “We were more focused, more aggressive. We were playing at home, in front of our crowd. So, it’s easier” he mentioned after the match.

The Nuggets need one more win to secure home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. “We are playing very good here in front of our fans. We want to thank them. We will try our best to get the home-court advantage” Jokic pointed out.
