The Dallas Mavericks will play their last home game of the 2018-19 season against the Phoenix Suns tonight (9/4) and it might also be Dirk Nowitzki’s last game in front of the Dallas crowd.

Although the 40-year-old German hasn’t officially made his retirement decision yet, he has been getting a farewell tour throughout the season as if he has. Tuesday night won’t be any different as the Mavericks intend to honor their legend with a special tribute and the whole night will be dedicated to Nowitzki as everyone waits to see if this will be his last stop.

The 14-time NBA All-Star has played with the Mavericks his whole 21-year-long career (1998-2019) setting a unique record for most seasons with a single franchise. Nowitzki played 1520 NBA games so far and tallied 31,510 points which put him at the sixth spot of the NBA all-time scoring list. He led the Mavericks to win the 2011 NBA championship grabbing the Finals MVP award in the process.
