Georgian center and potential lottery pick Goga Bitadze has officially declared for the 2019 NBA Draft, per the player’s agent.
A first-round projection at the beginning of the season, Bitadze is now expected to be selected with one the early picks in the Draft. The Ringer’s latest Mock Draft has Bitadze as the 9th overall pick.
Bitadze, 19, had a couple of impressive performance in his debut EuroLeague season with Montenegrin team Buducnost. After averaging 12.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 2.3 blocks over 24:12 minutes per game, he is one of the frontrunners to win EuroLeague Rising Star.
In ABA League, Bitadze was named MVP of the regular season. He averaged 16.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 0.9 assists, and 20 PIR.
