Furkan Korkmaz was released from Philadelphia 76ers and is on the lookout for the next step in his career.
Eurohoops sources mention that his priority is to stay in the NBA. The 21-year-old player will wait until the end of July and will meet with NBA teams to look for a suitable contract for him. Per the same sources, he could consider getting back to Europe only if he could not get a contract as he wishes in the NBA.
Some European clubs have Korkmaz on their radars, but no formal proposals have yet been made to the player.
This season, he averaged 5.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 48 games with the Sixers.
