There’s a lot of speculation in regards to Kawhi Leonard and the LA Clippers have him targetted, though Danilo Gallinari doubts the Los Angeles born player wants to come back “home”.
“I don’t think a player who just won a championship in Toronto wants to come back home more than stay in a team he just won with”, said Gallinari per Davide Chinellato.
Then he jokingly added: “I’m pretty sure he’s signing with us tomorrow”.
The statements were made on a light mood, however, Gallinari clarified that he has not talked with Leonard about the issue. Still, staying in Toronto would be his choice, if the Italian forward was in Leonard’s shoes. Still, Gallinari has a weapon in order to convince him to come to the Clippers: “If he comes, I will cook him a great plate of pasta”.
