The Toronto Raptors extended a qualifying offer to Nando De Colo

The Toronto Raptors can still control the possible NBA future of Nando De Colo, after extending him a qualifying offer that keeps him a restricted free agent, as Keith Smith reported first.

The Raptors have the right to match any offer made to the French guard in order to sign him or keep his rights if he signs with a European team.

The qualifying offer for De Colo is $1.8 million for next season and if the player wants, he can sign it at any time. However, this is not a deal that can satisfy De Colo.

De Colo’s three-year contract with CSKA Moscow which expired at the end of this season paid him almost $3 million per season (excluding taxes), making him one of the highest paid players in Europe.

According to Eurohoops sources, at this point, the qualifying offer can’t be considered not even a fallback option for the French guard.
