NBA free agency is approaching, but a couple of European players are reportedly set to be held to a restricted free agent status from July 1st. Per Yahoo, the Washington Wizards extended a qualifying offer to Czech Tomas Satoransky and according to ESPN the Dallas Mavericks completed a similar move for German Maxi Kleber.

Satoransky, 27, received a 3,911,484 dollars qualifying offer. He averaged 8.9 points, 5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1 steal per game in his third NBA season gaining a larger role after John Wall’s injury.

Kleber, 27, finished his second NBA campaign with 6.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.1 block and 1 assist per contest. His qualifying offer is worth 1.93 million dollars.

Making their European players restricted free agents, both sides will be able to match any offer other organizations make to keep them on their roster.
