Giannis Antetokounmpo presented his first custom made shoe design, Zoom Freak 1, in collaboration with Nike, at the emblematic Zapeion Megaron of Athens.
“I feel excited to be here. I was amazed by Nike’s offer. I’ve worked with them for four years before the new deal. They helped me since I was 17, they supported me and my family. When my agent told me that I would have the chance to have my own design and give back to the community I was very excited”, said the NBA 2018-19 MVP.
He also talked about his MVP speech that went viral all over the world. “I’ve tried to watch the video many times, as I see it everywhere. I can’t watch it, because I get emotional again”, he mentioned.
Eurohoops caught a glimpse at the Zoom Freak 1 designs which include also a special version dedicated to the memory of Giannis’ father, the late Charles Antetokounmpo.
