Kemba Walker will be the one replacing Kyrie Irving on the Boston Celtics. As the player’s agent, Jeff Schwartz, told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Walker will be signing a four-year, 141 million contract with his new team.

“When you think of the Celtics, you think of championships. You think of winnings. That’s what I’m about. I’m about competing for championships and winning. That’s something I haven’t been able to do these earlier years of my career. I just felt that Boston is the best fit for me to try and accomplish those kind goals,” Walker said on his transfer to ESPN’s Sports Center.

Walker finished 2018-2019 with the Charlotte Hornets averaging a career-high 25.6 points plus 5.9 assists and 4.4 rebounds. It was the three-time All Star’s eighth season in Charlotte.

“The hardest part of me is having to leave the city and the organization I’ve been a part of for eight years,” Walker said on leaving the Hornets.
