Only a few days before training camp starts for NBA teams, Joakim Noah still remains a free agent. His workout with the Los Angeles Clippers was canceled, according to Heavy.com. The report does not clarify if the Clippers will evaluate him otherwise or move forward with their current frontline.
The 34-year-old French center is looking to join a contender following his positive 2018-19 showing with the Memphis Grizzlies. He posted 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per appearance through 42 games in the previous NBA regular season.
Noah is a veteran of 727 NBA contests. After nine seasons with the Chicago Bulls he signed with the New York Knicks in 2016, but various injuries prevented him from reclaiming previous form. He was eventually waived in 2018 with a couple of seasons remaining in four-year, $72 million contract.
