Pau Gasol is coming out of off-season surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot and has been limited in practice for the first three days, though as he says he is ready to make the most out of the new season.
“So far so good,” Gasol mentions to the media. “Body’s doing great, now it’s just the ankle getting used to the pushing off and the pushing and holding people and the more explosive moves.”
Gasol adds that “it would be nice” to play in an upcoming preseason game, but at the same time he wouldn’t be disappointed if he doesn’t see any prep game action until his ankle is fully ready for the regular season.
“Obviously I’m super excited to play but I also want to be realistic and not create false expectations on myself, just follow the process and make sure I do everything correctly”, he concludes.
