Ante Zizic will be unavailable for the start of the 2019-20 NBA regular season. The Cleveland Cavaliers announced that the 22-year-old Croatian Center will be held out for approximately four weeks due to left foot plantar fasciitis.
Zizic exited Thursday’s practice on crutches and headed for an MRI. Initial fears included surgery and a lengthier absence, but he is still expected to remain out until late November. He had already missed all 2019 preseason affairs with foot pain and discomfort.
His first couple of NBA seasons saw him compete in 99 matches including 8 playoffs tilts. Last season, the Croatian center averaged 7.8 points and 5.4 rebounds through 59 appearances.
