The Indiana Pacers have engaged in trade talks involving Domantas Sabonis, according to The Athletic’s Sam Amick. The Lithuanian big will become a restricted free agent next summer if he does not receive a rookie contract extension until October 21st.

The report states that the asking price for the 23-year-old forward/center is considered high by other NBA teams. It can be estimated that the Pacers are not on the aggressive end in terms of dealing the son of Hall of Famer Arvydas Sabonis, but inserted him into the active market.

The fourth-year player has taken part in 242 NBA games between the Oklahoma City Thunder and his current side including 13 playoffs tilts. He was traded to the Pacers a couple of years ago following his rookie NBA season and since more than held his ground, but a second trade might be in his immediate future.
