Former Pinar Karsiyaka player, the Nigerian-Turkish big Adem Bona has decided to commit to UCLA Bruins instead of Kentucky for his college career.
“It’s a huge decision for me and my family. … Coming from Nigeria and now having a chance to go to a college like UCLA to play basketball, it’s huge for us,” Bona said and added. “And it’s huge for my basketball, to play at one of the top colleges in the world. It’s really big for me.”
The 18-year-old is considered a five-star recruit and is among the top five centers, as well as among the top 20 prospects overall, in the 2022 class.
Bona stands at 209 cm tall with a strong constitution and great speed, verticality and agility. He’s an elite rim protector and has solid fundamentals with an additional upside on offense, including shooting.
