The NCAA continues to add European talent for the upcoming season. Minutes after announcing Miikka Muurinen’s arrival at Arkansas following a year at Partizan, Lithuanian center Arturas Butajevas was the next addition to the list.
According to Jonathan Givony, the former Barça youth player and current Unicaja reserve team player in the Liga U, will play in Florida under Todd Golden. Butajevas (2007) is one of the Spanish Liga U stars.
He will play his freshman year at Florida, where they have already announced the return of projected first-round picks in the 2026 Draft, such as Thomas Haugh and Alex Condon.
Arturas Butajevas is one of Lithuania’s top basketball prospects for the coming years. A product of the Barcelona youth system, the center will take his game to the next level by playing in the SEC, one of the toughest conferences in the NCAA.
