Two of Real Madrid‘s most promising young players could be set to continue their careers in the NCAA

According to Artem Komarov, forward Egor Amosov is close to reaching an agreement with the UConn Huskies, while center Ilia Frolov is reportedly on the verge of joining the Arkansas Razorbacks, coached by John Calipari.

Both players recently featured for Real Madrid at the Next Gen EuroLeague Finals. Amosov was among the standout performers, averaging 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game, while posting a team-best PIR of 19.2.

Frolov, a 210-centimeter center, averaged 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in just over 15 minutes per contest during the tournament.

Amosov and Frolov would not be the first Real Madrid prospects to make the jump to the NCAA, as Latvian wing Gunars Grinvalds recently committed to UCLA after coming through the Spanish club’s youth ranks.
