Kevin Durant is looking forward to the 2024 Olympic Games with some pretty high motivation to destroy every other team.

Kevin Durant wants to see USA Basketball not just beat but crush opponents in the 2024 Olympic Games.

“I want to really make a statement on how dominant our players are. Like 40, 50-point wins. I want to do that,” Durant said on the upcoming Olympics, per AZ Central.

Durant feels that way also considering the disappointing run of Team USA in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. The squad finished the tournament in fourth place after losing to Germany (that went on to win the title) in the semifinal and then getting beaten by Canada in the third-place game.

It was the second straight World Championship where USA didn’t win a medal following the all-time low 9th-place finish in the 2019 edition of the tournament. In the 2020 Olympics, USA claimed the gold, with Durant leading the charge.

Durant now wants to be crowned Olympic champion once more. If USA accomplishes that goal, it will mark both the team’s and the Phoenix Suns superstar’s fourth straight Olympic gold medal.

Unlike the World Cup roster, team USA is expected to have the best of the best in the NBA right available in Paris. Including LeBron James, Steph Curry, new arrival Joel Embiid and, of course, KD.

“Interesting in seeing how you work and what makes you, you, because all greats are going to be here,” Durant mentioned. “So I’m excited about that, but the accolade piece, having four (gold medals). I think I’d be the only one. … Let’s go get four.”
