The Canadian national team is heading into the 2024 Paris Olympics on a high note.
They secured a 103-93 win over Puerto Rico in their last exhibition game before the Paris Games.
Dillon Brooks led the way for Jordi Fernandez’s team with 21 points, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Trey Lyles added 15 points each.
R.J. Barrett followed with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also scored 14 points, with six assists.
On the other side, Jose Alvarado led Puerto Rico with 21 points, Giann Clavell followed with 19, while Isaiah Pineiro added 14 points, and Chris Ortiz 12. Ismael Romero was on the verge of a double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Canada will face Australia, Greece, and Spain in Group A of the Paris Olympics, while Puerto Rico is placed in Group C, alongside Serbia, South Sudan, and the USA.
